We are seeking a Vocationally Registered GP to work in our beautiful doctor owned, purpose-built premises on the beautiful NSW South Coast.
The Gerringong Medical Practice was established 42 years ago and has been providing a comprehensive service to our growing community since. In 2020 we moved into custom built, spacious rooms allowing us to expand on our experienced team of GPs and Nurses to include Allied Health professionals and visiting non-GP specialists.
We are an accredited practice and are closely involved with the University of Wollongong Graduate School of Medicine. We find the process of teaching medical students and GP registrars stimulates the curiosity which keeps us energetic and up to date. We have always been very involved in our local community, providing medical support to local events and sponsoring local sporting teams. We manage nursing home patients and those who wish can work as a VMO at the local palliative care hospital.
We were recently recognised with an award of community service from the local Rotary Club which our founding doctor deservedly received.
The philosophy of kindness on which our practice is founded helps us find the balance to look after ourselves while looking after our community and we have very loyal and long-serving staff for this reason.
Gerringong is a vibrant, friendly town perched on the beach and surrounded by the rolling green hills of dairy country, 2 hours south of Sydney. Our GPs all take advantage of the local beaches and bush walks, cafes and restaurants, teams and clubs. We enjoy the benefits of a rural village with its sense of community and belonging, without losing the convenience of medical services and specialist support in the large medical centres of Wollongong and Nowra to our north and south. We have 3 hospitals within an easy drive, and the appeal of our town has attracted a strong Allied Health base.
