If you have chest pain, severe difficulty breathing or have sustained a major injury or accident we advise calling 000 or presenting to your local emergency department.
However we recognise that accidents happen and medical conditions can sometimes change very rapidly, so we endeavour to see patients for urgent review when necessary. We also feel strongly that high quality general practice care can lighten the load on our local emergency departments.
Acute and emergency care we provide includes:
- ECG, spirometry and pulse oximetry
- Wound management including glue and suturing of lacerations
- Fracture management and casting of minor fractures
- Sprains and strains
- Minor Burns
- Mild head injury
- Foreign body removal e.g. eye/ear/skin
