New home for GFMP

New home for GFMP

We have had a Development Application approved for a new practice to be built on the corner of Greta Street and Figtree Lane. The practice will be on the ground floor of the building and there will be three residential units above.

Until now, GFMP has rented rooms. The practice first opened in 1980 in Dr Russell Pearson’s lounge room in Brook Street. Predictably, the Pearson family grew and the practice was moved on to the rear of Wishart’s Arcade. In 1996, we rented and modified the restaurant that served patrons of Boat Harbour Motel (now Park Ridge Retreat).

However, general practice, too, has moved on, with a greater need for chronic disease management involving more allied health staff as well as providing planned preventative health care, especially for young families.

We hope you and your family will always feel welcome in our new home and we look forward to celebrating the move with you towards the end of 2019!
