COVID-19 UPDATE

We are doing our best to keep our patients (and staff) safe. We have hand sanitiser and masks available. Our staff are educated in infection control and we are diligent in following our procedures, including frequent wiping of surfaces.

We appreciate your co-operation in assisting us by contacting us by phone before presenting to the practice if you have any risk factors. The Government has announced new temporary Medicare item numbers to enable phone consultations to certain at risk groups.

This will allow people to access essential health services in their home while they undergo self-isolation or quarantine and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 for vulnerable people in the community.

If you fall into any of the following categories, you will be eligible:

  • people isolating themselves at home on the advice of a medical practitioner, and people who meet the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection after consultation with either the national COVID-19 hotline, state COVID-19 hotlines, registered medical or nursing practitioner or COVID-19 trained health clinic triage staff
  • people aged over 70
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50
  • people with chronic health conditions or who are immunocompromised
  • parents with new babies and people who are pregnant.

If you feel you need this service, please give us a call.
