Jackie also has a Diploma in Child Health (2013) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy (1994) from the University of Sydney.

As a junior doctor Jackie was always interested in becoming a GP. She also had a passion for paediatrics and obstetrics, so it’s a good thing she has lots of children and pregnant women to look after in our local community.

Of recent years Jackie has also taken a shine to the older patients in our community, and is passionate about keeping her older patients healthy, active and happy, and also guiding them through difficult times and illnesses.

Jackie also enjoys dermatology and has additional qualifications in skin cancer management.

“Developing long term relationships with my patients and their families is the most rewarding part of being a GP”.  “It is an honour to be able to help people over the years, and be there for them during good times and challenges”.

Jackie is passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle and will often spend much of the consultation addressing changes in lifestyle to improve a patients health and wellbeing.

Jackie enjoys mentoring and educating medical students and registrars, and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Wollongong (since January 2015) and a medical educator with GP training organisations.

Jackie lives in Kiama with her husband Andrew and children Harry, Clancy and Ava. Her love of the beach and road cycling means that on the weekend you’ll find her doing a long road cycle with her cycling buddies, then hanging out at the beach with her family, followed by a social catchup with friends.

Jackie is a passionate traveller. Whether it’s a cycling trip interstate, dragon boat paddling with fellow breast cancer survivors in Florence, or taking her kids on wonderful adventures, there is always a trip being planned.

Jackie works at Gerringong Medical Practice on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
